No-one commented on the post I submitted over a week ago regarding the Venom Performance Turbo upgrade. Was this turbo not worthy of consideration? My interest is only out of curiosity, I have no intention of upgrading at this time. Just thinking if a bolt on solution already exists for up to 400hp why try to re-invent the wheel?

Found the VSPerformance website but it’s all in Russian and I couldn’t find an option for English. I did find the link on their website for Turbo Systems and found the turbo:

My preference is to try and deal with a local supplier rather than an overseas supplier.

I need to locate my engine code, does anyone know where this is? I found a “CRN” near the accessory (serpentine) drive belt cover but wasn’t sure if that was it.
 
Oh damn look at all that area under the curve. This is what I’m taking about. This is all very exciting!

A pre thank you to everyone in this thread more knowledgeable than me who’s working on this. It’s great to see the community coming together to produce this kind of upgrade option.

Side note: if installation instructions and whatnot are needed I can produce them for next to nothing. That’s about all I’m able to contribute that’s not me droning on and on about moar boosts.
Excellent, I do believe that there is a pdf on here somewhere about stock turbo removal, this would basically be the same...

I must've missed it...

From that post:
-dual ceramic ball bearing;
-reinforced bigger machined from the solid compressor wheel - 50/72mm;
-enlarged turbine wheel - 58/54mm;
-refurbished housings;
-new shafts;
-balanced on VSR.
Power range: 400+ HP

The ball bearing is good But are actually more problematic from what i've heard.

Here are the GTD2060 and GTD2263 wheel specs:

Now the GTD2263 compressor wheel listed here is an aftermarket MFS, but you get the idea.

Everything on the turbo you listed is larger. Compressor and Turbine wheels.

So while this CAN support 400HP, it is going to be as laggy as the darkside GTD2872 IMHO.
And i'm guessing it also uses the also GTB VNT assembly.

That one would bolt up, and our engine code is CNRA or CNRB

The peak torque of that one is 2706 RPM

That's because it's crap LOL
It's way too big for a DD or someone who tows.
It will probably spool at over 3k....
There is nothing bolt on (turbo) that will get you into the 400, not even with a ****ty power delivery.... the fuel system isn't sufficient for that kind of power as far as I know.

We are after more "all round" power..... we want similar or faster spool, more mid range and more top end..... that's why we are trying to re-invent the wheel.
 
Some quick visuals for anyone who doesn't already know how to turbos bolt up on the engines we are throwing around in this thread.....
