Will the TCM fix also fix the hesitation which occurs when merging into traffic or when turning right or left once you slowed down to turn and then try to speed up. It does not happen all the time but when it does it creates a dangerous situation or an accident waiting to happen.
Yes it cures this as well.

Thank you for this information,
Hope your family is feeling better.
We missed each other for the TCM fix when I came back on the 18th. But I guessed that you were not available due to the illness at home.
Will have to plan another way but not till next spring as I will be away travelling.
Thank you.

We will figure something out, there is always the loaner exchange program if I can catch you in on place long enough

Another satisfied customer

I have been following this thread for months. Finally pulled the trigger. I had the opportunity to drive my wife’s car for a few days, so removed and shipped the TCM to Joe, he did his magic and shipped back the same day. Reinstalled today, went for a drive. My 2014 Touareg TDI drives like it did when I bought it...before the emissions fix. No high revs when cold, shifts smooth and keeps rpm in the sweet spot when accelerating hard, engine braking is back, no hesitation when coasting around a corner and then punching it. Sorry I waited so long!

Looking at doing the fix and a Malone tune when I get back from Mexico in the spring.
Thank you Joe and I hope your family is healthy again. That is the most important thing in life.
Take care.
Thank you sir, we are still battling this little bugger, wife seems to have it the worst.:frown2:

I've been following this thread since shortly after my 2015 Touareg Execline R-Line got the fix and started driving like a third world vehicle. I am on my fifth Touareg (lucky me!), and now drive a 2016 Highline. Can you PM me the cost to do the fix please? I'm in Western Canada.

Thanks!

Mike

I sent Joe the TCM (0C8 927 755 R) from my 2016 Touareg, that I bought "new" with the fix (0C8 927 755 R). . . I sent it out Tuesday afternoon for Wednesday delivery. It got to him at 2:30. He re-flashed it and mailed it back to me the same day. It came this morning via Priority Mail, and I got it back in the car before noon.

Super simple, easy, and effective process. I really appreciate getting the module back in the mail within just a couple hours! I never had the car pre-"fix", but the transmission now seems to behave the way I would have expected it should from the factory. Just not hanging in 3rd gear when the car is cold is worth popping the module out and having Joe re-flash it. It also seems to shift more smoothly and without hesitation at lower speeds but I have to drive it some more to fully explore the improvement.

I was a little concerned about dealing with a guy I'd never actually met, but at the end of the day, I couldn't have had a better experience.

By the way I just read about the loaner that was not returned. In my opinion, if someone wants the convenience of a loaner, they should be willing to pay a $700 up front "core" charge -- the price of a new module. Then if they want to keep the loaner, you're covered to order a new one and keep going. . .

It's a lot of money, but your reputation is good enough that they should know they'll get it back, and folks can always send you their module if they would prefer.

In ny opinion the core charge should be double the cost to obtain a module, otherwise someone willing to buy a spare module will just see it as a bonus that someone did all the leg work for them and keep the module. Need to make the core charge high enough to ensure its return.

Thank you sir!

Wife is on her second anti-biotic, son has now picked up her cough :(

Seems like a never ending battle that's been going on for a month now.

I'm still waiting to reschedule my Greater Toronto Area trip until we are all feeling better.

If you have a 2014, or 2011-12 Touareg and are ready to get rid of that horrible "fixed" TCM
please post up here, or shoot me a PM.

I believe that I have reached the end of the waiting list for these two loaner exchange modules with the exception of the people that are interested, but not yet fixed.

If I have somehow missed you, please also let me know that as well :)

This would be the 750CF module for the 2014, and the 750G module for the 2011-2012's respectively

Thanks everyone
