I saw a YouTube review of the new Touareg. The road sign detection will alter the cruise control setting and reduce your speed. Maybe the dormant system in the 7P pre-empts this function in the next model. Are there any markets in the world where this function is activated in the 7P from the factory?

You can enable partial settings in green screen, for the rest you need long coding changes via vcds.
Unsure if obd will allow you to. I helped someone with obd to set this up the other week.
And not sure where in the world it’s factory enabled. Perhaps somewhere theres less regulation and legal pain... russia?

Hello,
here's Richard from Czech republic,, i have TREG 2016 with lane assist etc...
I was wondering if You can be so glad to help me with enabling road signs.. I have had the same problem after following the steps as You,, until You made some further changes in 8E image processing module. Seems like my 19 module is comunicating with 8E, but without any signs showing on instruments panel. Checkbox under Sign assist in cluster is enabled.
Is possible for You to remember the changes?
or can i have the coding of your 8E module after change?

Seems like i ended up in the same spot as Skelly14. MFD shows no data in area as well.. Fusion option is checked. Message sign assist not fully available would be a win i guess. I will try to look into 5E with VCDS.

Undo the settings, both from green screen and vcds. Then redo, this time the other one first

I tried enabling the VCDS first and it's still the same,, couldn't be there any other coding in 85 ?
not sure about instruments version,, i have Part No SW: 7P6 920 883 H HW: 7P6 920 883 H,, also getting incorrectly coded in module 19

So after several tries and drives i found out that fault is in 8E module ,, rest is working perfectly ,, seems like image processing is actually not proces sing anything,, can You please tell me what you see under advanced measuring value?
Result of traffic sign detection-Instruction text ID (when this changes from 0 to 5 i get the message no data in area...)
Result of traffic sign detection-Display mode (this i have on 1)
Result of traffic sign detection-Traffic sign 1,2,3 (stays on 0)
also tried coding with soft reset and nothing,, seems like QldTouaregV8 figured that out. but i have runned out of options.
I dont want to randomly change every bit to 1.

Finally done and working, but if We can get the security access code to make changes in adaptation it would be a different story.

Yeah, none of the known security codes for the module work- thats all whats needed to make the change

Hello Singh,, i think i figured out that part too.
I am out so cannot try it sooner than on monday but if You’re interested You can try it yourself. use VCDS beta 18.7.0 with code S12345. Remember that you need to update the hex-can first with latest beta drivers. Good luck and post results othervise i will post them on monday .

You need to be in beta in order to work, that S before the code will switch from install to debug mode, u need to have latest hex-can cable and updated. Code is S12345 not 12345.

You need to be in beta in order to work, that S before the code will switch from install to debug mode, u need to have latest hex-can cable and updated. Code is S12345 not 12345.

Okay. I had tried S12345 before but not with beta vcds.
My cable is about a year or two old. When you say updated hex can cable what do you mean?
Is it not enough to just have updated beta version of vcds for this to work?

Sry, latest hex cable is for beta 18.5-18.7 version.

So far i know for that modification you need beta 16.5 and up if you can get you hands on that version

Done, successfully readapted

Here's a proof. However even with road fusion set to detection the fault message still appears. At least it reads additional signs now,, end of speed limit sign works well it might make this system usable on highways at least. If You can get rid of the fault message let me know please

The S12345 is not actually code for the module, it's Ross-tech's code to activate script in a .clb labelfile which connects to the module in developer mode instead of default programming mode.
Here comes the trick, since nobody cares about Our TREG module there is no script to run in 7P6-907-107.clb file,
but I know that there is such a script made for audi Image processing module 4H0-907-107.
You need to go to labels folder in Ross-tech folder find 7P6-907-107.clb file, save it somewhere safe, then locate 4H0-907-107-V2.clb file and rename it to 7P6-907-107.clb.
Run VCDS, under security access popup message will show as You can see on the picture, then type in S12345
and Adaptations will unlock. If you don't have 4H0-907-107-V2.clb file then you need to download newer VCDS.

As part of my purchase price budget , I acquired a vcds with all sorts of ambitions for good stuff like road sign assist , lane departure etc.
(Lane departure is disabled in the Au Wolfsburg because the wheel is heated .. well that's what vw say anyway)
My truck is still under warranty and I suspect I am far too much of a dinosaur programming dummy to ever attempt some of the great stuff you guys achieve.
I have fun reading about it all anyway….

Well i have heated steering wheel and lane assist from factory so the problem will be in people not in the car ?
