Its been a while since our last gtg and many new members have joined so its time to meet again and head out for bit of adventure in the aussie wilderness, not to mention enjoy some of the Touareg offroad ability.
On the weekend I did some night time fourwheel driving around the kowmung fire trail(blue mountains NP), parts of which we did during our clubmeet a few years ago, and I must say that it is still quite an interesting track & area.
We can meetup at Jenolan Caves and then head out to Kanangra Walls on the dirt track and check out the awesome drop/view of the valley & high cliff walls. From there we'll slip into low range and head down to the kowmung river and come up the mountains on the other side. The last leg will see us back on the track out to Wombeyan Caves and then out to Mittagong.
The limeburners trail unfortunately is now closed but the earlier sections will give most enough excitement n adrenalin. Yerranderie the ghost town is an interesting area closeby but unless you plan to stay there we wont have enough time.
If we do it on a Saturday and there is some interest then we can stay a night at Wombeyan Caves, otherwise drive back to Sydney, etc from there on the same day.
Now who's up and when? Mid Feb? weekend of 13/14 or 20/21?
