OK for those who will now ask, per the settlement,

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SUBMIT YOUR PAPERWORK FOR

THE GEN 1 3.0L BUYBACK ON OR BEFORE

2 JUNE 2017.

VOLKSWAGEN HAS UNTIL 2 JUNE (15 days from

today) TO MAKE THE WEBSITE ACTIVE.

THERE IS AS OF YET NO APPROVED GEN 2 FIX.

THERE IS AS OF YET NO GEN 2 BUYBACK.
Yay! Endgame is on the horizon. I'll be in line once it all goes live.

Is there an official launch date for that portal? Beware registering earlier than the official launch date. A friend of mine registered for the goodwill package a couple days earlier than the official date. The website seemed to be live. But he never heard from them and they had no record of his registration. Site may be in "Test" phase a day or two in advance of the actual official launch day.

Just registered my gen 2 Audi. It appears I don't have to share $ with previous owner. So pleased!

The portal is working for me: URL="https://claims.vwgoa.com/#/login"]https://claims.vwgoa.com/#/login[/URL]
Thanks for the info. I just registered both my 2012 TDI that is going back and the 2016 Cayenne Diesel I got to replace it.

Flippin' sweet!

I have emails confirming the start of the process. I need to go home and upload my title to finish things up for now.

I went into the portal

Govt' ID
Proof of Purchase
Proof of Sale (for previous owners) is required....

TIP: If you scan those, you can upload them while you register, otherwise you mail or fax

The registration for my previously owned Touareg revealed a lower amount than I expected, indicating more than one owner has applied for the settlement. Not sure if the Bosch settlement (allegedly automatically included here) is also split.

The current owner gets half regardless of how many prior owners.
And my amount was a bit less than I expected also. I will have to look into this later.

Mine came out exactly as I had calculated at $43,458 + Bosch $ for my 2012 Lux w/ 67.8k miles. I'm very pleased with this and will take the trade option on a new 2017 Touareg wolfsburg. I'm in the process narrowing down dealerships to get the best deal right now. The trade option saves me another $2,716 in MA sales tax, so going VW is very compelling. I've been really happy with my 2012 and it is in pristine condition with a lifetime fuel economy average of 28.8mpg so I'm sorry to see it go - I just hope it somehow ultimately gets spared from the crusher!

VIN come up as sport, not lux

I was just filling the settlement questions when the VIN number came back as a TDI SPORT instead of LUX. I contacted my dealer who ran the VIN and on their system and shows up as a LUX which is what the window sticker reads. I Called the settlement people and they say it is a SPORT and that "nothing can be done and the difference would be minimal", as per court paperwork difference is about $2000. Has anyone had this problem?
