Has anyone here improved the look of their headlights with one of those 'repair' kits?
The driver's side headlight is showing some haziness due to age which, by the way, I find surprising because the car is only four years old. Below is a photo of the DS and PS for comparison. I think the PS headlight was replaced at some point, which explains why it looks new.
The haze is not as significant as some older cars so I'm hesitant to use one of the aforementioned kits. Many of them use a 1500 grit or 2000 grit sandpaper with water to scuff the plastic, then seal it with some kind of polymer to bring back the 'glossy' look. I don't think the surface is hazy enough to warrant the first step.
What I'm really wondering is if there exists a type of wax or liquid polymer that can be applied to the plastic to fill in the super-fine scratches that cause it to appear hazy, making it look like the PS again.
Help is appreciated!
