So my 2010 TDI with 55k recently started to show two oil spots on garage floor I looked under and visually see engine oil from a hose connection which looks like compressor side leaking down. any of you guys seen this? Top is bone dry and i dont see anything leaking up top. Would it be covered by power train warranty what could cause this? Thanks once again

Seems you have a similar problem to me, it appears to be an oil seep around the PCV pipe that feeds into the charged air intake pipe.
Have a look at my post re my issue, still not resolved, I am on a watch and monitor status on this atm.

If you crawl up over the engine and look between the turbo and the firewall you should be able to see some evidence of oil leak/weep, this runs down and over the transmission bell housing, should be able to see some oil dripping off the bottom of bell housing.

So I had my car a few months back at dealer and leak is present again. Dealer last time said leak was normal from turbo does not seem like it since they cleaned and resecured clamp but still leaking now again bigger stain in garage floor today and also looks like rear of motor wet....

When I swap out my winter wheel/tire set-up I'll look again. Last time I was under there, the seepage on the pipe was minimal.

That being said, my twin turbo is bone dry. I do need a quart every 2,000 miles...guess it the difference between gas and diesel and water verses air/oil cooled.

If my recollection serves me right I remember only one TDI Treg owner that had oil present on his bell housing in which VW dropped the engine and replaced the rear main seal......and I think the oil seepage returned shortly after.

I'll try to find the thread. I know he had pics posted of the engine out.

Phew! That's sorted then - hopefully!

Ok so brought my car back in a hose by the part number 7p0-145-832a was replaced free of charge will see if that really will stop the leak..
That may well be the culprit, I suspected my leak was caused in that area and it turned out one of the clamps needed 6 turns of the screwdriver to tighten it up, seems to have fixed my problem.
Did you notice oil run from back of turbo then onto top of transmission bell housing and running down from that?

To me....it seems the cyclonic oil separator is the culprit. If it was doing it's job as should be there would be no oil/oil mist making it to the turbo for a leak.
