The Fourth Annual Colorado Touareg 4x4 Rally will again be based out of beautiful Ouray, CO.
This Don't miss another year! Join us for a week-long vacation high up in the Rocky Mountains that you and your family will remember for years to come!
We will have a welcome dinner for all participants on Sunday July 26. Trail dates will be Monday July 23 through Friday July 27. Officially, Wednesday is a off day with no trails planned, allowing everyone to explore the area. No experience is necessary, but properly equipped vehicles are. This is a OFFROAD event and we will be exploring trails of greatly varying difficulty. We will have experienced drivers on hand to help at all times or to give advice about a particular trail or obstacle.

Several of us had rented houses last year, and we already have reserved them for 2007. There are several rental properties available around the Ouray area for prices similar to a week-long hotel/motel stay
Ouray Realty is a good place to start your search for vacation rentals.
Ouray website also has some great information about the town and surrounding area, including the hot springs, hiking, biking and mining history of the area. Ouray is also located near Telluride, Silverton and Durango areas.
Camping in the area is possible. However, I don't recommend tent camping for any length of
time due to lack of good sites near town and weather. Ouray has a tendency to get very WET that time of year making for a lot of soggy, muddy gear. In fact, record rain fall washed out the Imogene Pass trail for two days during last weeks rally, making for a very difficult, challenging and fun ride!
