W for Windshield Washer Fluid needs refilling? Willing to bet they didn't do that at your 8 K mile service. Take it to the same dealership and demand they do a better service job, and next time fill out the survey to VW of America, to remind them of how crappy their service is, and that both you and VW expect far better service on a $50 to $60k car.

Otherwise... basic RFTM applies in situations like this.

This goes without saying, any time a VW dealership touches or services your car, before you drive it off the lot, Trust but Verify everything the mechanic touched, with your own two eyes. VW Service is, for the most part, pretty crappy. There are some good technicians, but generally they are making big money on the bigger jobs, not routine warranty service crap, which pays mouse nuts.

I think the W just means your GPS SatNav says you are heading/pointing West.
I don't see any yellow triangle or anything to be concerned about in those pics….

The sun is my navigation, barring that, Google Maps on a rooted smart phone with the GPS turned on. Neither of my Sports have Nav. Also reread my post... barring that...please RTFM.

Seems no one reads the manual, I surely don't have that "W" showing on my dash, ever. Am pretty certain though that something on the dash will light up, chime or notify you when your windshield washer fluid is low.

What I do have showing up there is stupid redundancy stuff. Like I know my SD card is playing. Infotainment center tells me so. Or that the radio icon is there.... Like I can't hear the radio playing already? As I said, redundant.

Go west it is then . . .

I was in Sister Bay/Egg Harbor/Fish Creek, Wis. last weekend. No AT&T tower there. Nothing at all in Door County. This is 1.5 hours northeast of Green Bay. Without NAV we would have been driving in circles and it was sunny all four days. While we would have been fine without it, it is a great feature for most of us.

I had the same warning triangle next to the vehicle info system show up. it usually shows up while I am on a long road trip and close to the service time, but it does go out before it is being serviced and it does not come on till the another 8-9500miles. I did ask my serv. rep and he could not explain it and I could not find it in the manual. they are the warning triangle in the manual but nothing in reference to veh. info system.

Last time I was in superior It was -45 and I couldn't keep the diesel from gelling! Longest 24 hours of my life lol.

I was there and Duluth for a weekend. Not too cold but snowed the entire time. Did not stop snowing! Usually, I go up north only in the summer.
