Hi all,

Kindly help me to interpret the following fault codes, please?

I got 3 faults code from VCDS scan - Address 32 Differential Locks.

Code:
Address 32: Differential Locks Labels: None
   Part No SW: 0BN 927 771 HW: 0BN 927 771
   Component: Quersperre 5220
   Revision: H04 Serial number: 048418252104
   Shop #: WSC 00000 000 00000
   VCID: 010388D258C3F293CF-8054

3 Faults Found:
02062 - Differential Lock
            003 - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent
02412 - Differential Lock Rear
            003 - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent
02055 - Motor for Differential Lock; Plus Connection
            011 - Open Circuit
14 years old Touareg (Milleage is currently 99081 miles), has never driven it on serious offroad. Differentials oil were replaced 5 years ago. I'm feeling surprised to have these fault codes actually.

At first, I thought I might have wiring issue at the rear differential motor, and so I went under to check the wiring this morning. All the wiring looms, and connectors are still in good condition... So, what now?

Any pointers? Thanks!

Looks like you have an issue with the stepper motor. Replacement is really the only proper fix. Can you engage it at all? What do the MVB say?

Thank you for your reply Chewblekka.

The thing is, I could still engage both differential gear and drive the car forward and backward (on paved flat surface thought) without having any anomaly. I could hear the electric motor energised and engage without funny noise, the engagement feels ok, too. It seems like both the wiring and the motors are ok... but why is the error message keeps coming back from time to time?

What is MVB, bro?
