mmm, that's an even smaller needle in the haystack..rooting for ya to find something, that was my original want until i settled on my 08, when i was looking to buy i was only able to find 5 regs for sale in the country with AS

 

Sales figures show their were 4713 regs sold in 2010, i waonder how many were equipped with AS

Finally got one!

I picked up a very clean 2010 TDI Galapagos Gray, lux limited, premium technology (dynadio), towing package, with wait for it...4 corner air suspension!

I flew out to Hartford CT this past Sat and drove it home. I can't believe how well it handles and how nice the ride is. The air suspension makes all the difference in the world!

I bought a 2008 t2 with air from this forum back in May and loving it

Was it a dealer, private seller?

Look out for rust and salt ingress around the air suspension... That calcium chloride spray crap they're using now kills cars around here in ct.

Lube it up with grease b4 the winter hits. Not sure if your previous owner did this or not.

Mine was luckily from ga and garaged in the winter...

 

I purchased it through Coventry Motorcar in Coventry CT. They are a used car dealer specializing in Audi's, Porsche, BMW, & Mercedes. The previous owner traded it in and purchased a Porsche Cayenne diesel they had on the lot.

Thanks for the tip on the air suspension! I looked all 4 the other day after reading your post and there doesn't seem to be any signs of corrosion.

 

Lube this with grease or any lithium based protectant to repel moisture,salt etc

Let me know if anyone has something specific they would like to know about this fine ride. It's located about 3 miles from my house. I would be happy to look at it for you.

 

Does it have halogens or xenon's? Hard to tell from your one front pic of the car. Seems most of the lux limited for what ever reason came with halogen headlights.

 

Xenon's. I can easily see the balasts mounted on the side of the headlight housings. I believe that the AFS II option is only with xenons, right?

 

That is correct, that year with Xenons has the AFS II, just like my 08. Nice feature

 

I'm looking at the almost identical treg right now. Do you mind sharing how much you ended up paying?

That one in the link I8ABUG posted doesn't have xenons. That is the weirdness I have seen with most of these Lux Limited ones. It even has ACC, but no xenons. Makes no sense why they were ordered in that way.

Did you get a Lux Limited I8ABUG? Did you get your V10 sold or is this in addition to your V10? I think you will like the mileage better, you my miss the 100 less ft lb of torque though or maybe not.

 

How can you tell from the Pics it has ACC?

 

I'm content with the stock power on mine. I don't want to jack with mileage with a tune. I know some say it can be better, but I know I would probably have my foot in it more negating the savings.

There was a post a week ago or so that said like 500? with 4C Air in NA for 2010.

 

A VW dealer I know did some research, and said there were 192 '09/'10 Touaregs with Air sold in the US.

 

Right 200...so we have an even rarer bird

Now if I an only get past this confidence bursting emission system fail!

 

Get if fixed and you should be fine. Mine fortunately went out while under factory warranty. I have had no issues since getting it repaired. I still don't think my adblue fill warning works. I have never seen it since I have owned mine.
