Hi, i was checking the pictures of a W12 that one of our members and see that there is a lock near the shifter on the right. What is that for?

I think its to turn off the passanger airbag.

Yup - I've got that one in my 2006 V6 TDI and as Blownvette says it's for turning off the passenger airbag. For whatever reason they placed it there instead of hiding it in the glovebox.
