Question...Has anyone used any DEF other than VW's ADBlue in their TReg?

Then if I use one of the AdBlue bottles as a funnel, any DEL will work???

When you cut the bottom off the Adblue bottle, Take the straw out and cut it to about 1/2 the length and put it back in, then when there is spatter coming out of the straw, it will stay in the "funnel". It also helps to keep a rag over the funnel to control any splatter. The fluid is quite corrosive, and the 2 dealers who recharged my tank did a terrible job controlling the splatter and there were white crystals in the wheel well.

If you have not done this before, you need to push the "funnel" down to get the fluid to go into the tank.

Yes, I just put in 2 gal (4x 1/2 gal ) ad blue from vw. I found DEF for 1/2 ($8 vs $16 per gal) what VW is selling it for. Just need the special connector to get it into the treg tank. Everyone thanks so much for the helpful info!

Something else that might help is the suggestion to shop around next time. Around here, a 2.5 gallon container sells for $12. That any auto parts store, truck stop, even WalMart
