The cost to the dealer is far less than the remittance rates for any other extended warranty.
However, only a selling dealer can certify a unit that must also qualify by passing an inspection.

Well then the Platinum Warranty is the most like the new car or CPO warranty, being an named exclusions contract that states only the areas that are NOT covered. The Platinum, I think, differs from these others only by excluding many trim, finish and fit items.
I'd suggest you get a copy of the contract from the dealer where you propose to buy the warranty and read the coverage for your own satisfaction. It includes all of the VW warranty products on the same form.

Thanks for the help. I was hoping to get some of that info here. Will see if I can get it from the dealer. Still haven't purchased the car. It as a 73000+ vin 04 with Package 5. What would be a good price for that?
