Victor Equipment Staggered wheels

I am looking at doing a staggered wheel setup using Victor Equipment Lemans Wheels.

Front 18x8 w/ 43mm offset
Rear 18x9.5 w/ 49mm offset

Tires will remain 255-55-18 at all 4 corners. I am looking at the 9.5" rear for the look of extra lip & closer to the fender line. Does anyone foresee any issues?

Victor Equipment indicated it should be no problem, but they thought I should just do the 9.5" wheels at all 4 corners. I was afraid the 9.5" in the front would be too wide.

I would do 9.5 all around...I'm running 20x10 on all 4 corners with 275 width tires...not even close to a clearance issue (there is room everywhere). Staggered only makes sense to me if you're running 20x10 front with 275 wide tires and you want to run 20x11 rear with 315 width (had this on my V10).

@Nickm -The other option I considered was the TDR 1.2Pro in an 18x10 w/ 56mm offset. He can also get me the 18x8.5 w 52mm offset. I run the TDR's on my A4 for track days and they have been solid. Avalon Motorsports has always given me a good price on those, but I think a 255 width tire might be a tad too narrow for a 10" wheel and I can't find much that is similar OD but wider so I can stay 18".

Maybe the 8.5 w/ 52mm offset is better? I don't really want to run rear spacers, but I want the rears to be closer to the fender. Any other suggestions, oh and Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas! If I was sticking to 18s I'd go 9.5" or if you want them to sit at the fender line go with 10". I agree 255 will be too narrow for a 10" wheel, so I'd chase something around 275 wide. Also I'm not sure if the 56mm offset will give you enough room on the inside, most 10" wide wheels are running offset around 50mm.

I think 8.5 w/ 52 will leave you a bit less than an inch away from the fender line...not terrible, but doesn't sound like that's where you want it to be. I'm not sure if they can get any more aggressive on the offset to push it out a bit?

Hope this is helpful, I'm just thinking out loud here !

Thanks for the info Nick.

I am waiting for one place to get back to me about ForgeStar wheels. Looks like I can do what ever offset I want between 5-60mm on a 18x9.5" wheel. With that in mind, what do you think the ideal offset would be for a 9" or 9.5" wheel so the wheels look flush front & rear? If I was going to do custom offset would it made sense to do different offsets front & rear? The obvious downfall is not being able to rotate tires.

I looked for wider 18" tires and only found one, it was 285-50-18 tires (Pirelli p-zero), but they are $500 each from Tirerack. But the load rating was also lower which won't be good for towing.

I would not stagger the offset on same size wheels, there isn't really a need that I can think of.

Take a look at the offset on the victor zehn 20x10, have the wheels matched to those so they stick out just the same...I don't have a calculator handy but I would guess 5-8mm change for the 9.5 vs 10" wheels size I have the 20x10 zehn and they fit perfectly at the fender line. The front looks like it sticks out a bit far from some angles but from most angles its exactly where it should be. The rear is perfect.

Also lets me rotate...although truth be told, I've never really found the Touareg rotation dependent, all 4 tires seem to wear at the same rate if I rotate them or not.
