Took my vehicle to get inspected. guy called me and said it wouldn't start. the vehicle had been working fine. after the tech jumped the vehicle it worked fine. After driving it around it operated fine. a week later i came out the next morning and the ignition was clicking. the vehicle wouldnt start. I did notice that before the key didn't seat right, have anyone experienced this?

Whats your battery voltage? Have you run a vag scan?

voltage stays around 14 when running, it seams what ever in the ignition that was clicking drained the battery.

I know you've been doing a stereo install, anything causing a drain on the battery? If it starts after boost my guess is you've got a draining or dead battery. an iffy battery will cause a zillion problems on a touareg.

I was working on the door speakers only. I remember turning the key in the ignition and it wouldn't turn over cause it was not seated right. you would have to remove the key and re-seat it and the vehicle would start. That happen about 3 times. but now it runs fine.

I have to step on the brake to start my touareg.... is that normal this is how its been since i got it. Maybe the switch under the brake pedal is bad for you?

If it is the original battery, I am sure you will a new one since you have an 04
