Looking for recommendation on the type/model of spark plug to use in an 04 V8. 60K maintenance is coming up.

I've heard that too, but I always replaced mine with what came out of the car and those were Bosch, and I have never had an issue. Now on my VR6, I've only seen NGK available, so I'll be replacing them with those when the time comes.

To the OP, ECS has them both about $5 apart, I really don't think you'll have issues with either.

I will be needing spark plugs soon and wondering why NGK is better? If they truely are I will get them as they are quite a bit cheaper.

These Bosch plugs are a little cheaper on Amazon than ECS Tuning since the shipping is free.

Plus I just noticed there is a $.50 per plug rebate for these. So I guess that makes the price about the same as the NGKs.

Anyone know what the gap is supposed to be?

I believe it is .044 inch for V8
But with the 4 electrode plugs (which the oem plugs are) no gapping required, these plugs are pre-gapped and can not be changed.
