I'd love to know how the hell someone could claim to have a 500horsepower/700 ft lb V10 TDI... I mean I HIGHLY doubt that's anywhere near possible without extensive mods... Price is also too high IMO

lol. yeah, the seller is obviously exaggerating a bit there. An 04 with 150k miles seems awful risky. What do you think a fair price would be? Blue book is around $15,000 which also seems to be high.

 

I wouldn't pay more than $10k or thereabouts for an '04 with those miles. I don't mean it in a negative way it's just at that price you'd save enough to replace turbos or transmissions or whatever when the time comes... Great buy if you get it for cheap enough (but I suppose that applies to anything)

That car has to be cheap enough to walk away from if the engine or transmission blows as repair would not be economical and the car would be best broken up and the parts sold off.

V10s were expensive to buy new and they can be VERY expensive to repair. Go into this with your eyes wide open.

 

What do you guys think about this V10? Price seems a little high for 150K miles. Let me know what you think.
