That’s the injector harness plug. It’s a tight fit but nothing will drop. Best to remove the valve cover....

I would think by your description it is this plug leaking.
It is sealed by an O-ring fitted to the plug when it is removed.
It hold the compensating link in place but the plug can be removed and replaced without upsetting anything if you can get at it with the engine in.
Than again with enough removed i am sure you can as that guy in the USA does cams in place and he would need to removed the plug to do that.

Yes that is the plug, thanks Drag i have lowerd the trans cross member and removed the primary cats so i can get to it from under the car, Vaughan.

Today I went to my trusty mechanic he quoted A$2000 to supply and fit a new tandem pump... TouaregV10on33s

This would be many hours (days) of my time, (and I'd probably need to get my daughter and her little hands to help me)

Yes 2k is way too much so is $1400 more like $1200k including the price of a new pump.



Why do you need a new pump when its only the $10 gasket that needs replacing to stop the leak??


Save yourself the pump cost.

how long do you reckon to change it Drag?
I'd hate to do the job and find the pump was faulty.

He told me it was non serviceable as you can't buy the square rubber gasket?

do you have a Part Number for the gasket Mate?
When can you come over? we have a spare room...

Hey Ragman I purchased a gasket kit for mine ,the pump doesn’t need to be, give me a call tomorrow at work and I will tell you what it would cost 94193344, Vaughan
