I have try to lock the car using the remote and try to open the door manually inside the car but it does not work?

just wonder how dangerous is it we accidentally lock our child or some inside the car without notice?
is there any solution for this? can VW deactivate the lock system?

you have to click two times when you lock, it's in the user's manual

If you are in the car, and the doors are locked, you can do one of 2 things.

Manually unlock the doors, and then use the latch to open it, or...

Pull on the latch twice. The second time will open the door.

BTW, you can disable the auto-lock feature in the MFI.

what do u mean manually unlock the door ? just pulling the latch?

I have try to lock myself inside the car by pressing 1 click in the remote, nothing can but done. the only way is just to unlock it by using the remote.

how about changing the locking system vice versa;

1 click - lock the door but can be manually open from inside
2 click- total dead lock.

If the car is set to lock the doors when in motion, then you must pull the handle TWICE to open the door when you stop. Once to unlock the door, and a second time to actually open it. I didn't care for this function and have changed it in the MFI so the car does not lock when in motion.

OK, let's take this step by painstaking step ...

Sit inside car
Lock doors by pressing the lock button on the remote - this will activate the alarm
At this point, the door unlock rocker button in front of the door handle is inoperative
To open door, pull on door handle once to unlock door, then pull on door handle again to open door and set off alarm
Turn alarm off by pressing the unlock button on the remote
Please note, car has not moved!

I know this thread is old but I've been through it. Husband didn't realize I was still in car lol I guess but anyways he locked it and I tried everything and after a minute I was having trouble breathing. He finally came back n disalarmed the vehicle. ****... I was pissed. It makes me wonder how these poor innocent kids that get forgotten in cars.
