Hello fellow Touareg Owners! Newbie poster here. I have a 2014 Touareg TDI 3.0. I was driving from the Bronx, NY back to Boston last weekend when my engine light came on. Car ran fine all the way home. My usual mechanic hooked it up and found three codes, but can't find any information on them. I'm wondering if anyone here can shed some light on them.
8863 - I've found some posts about this being the diesel particulate filter. It seemed odd that while we were stuck in stop-and-go traffic when the light came on, we were able to drive mostly highway speeds the rest of the way home.
793C00H and 21501 - can't find anything about these.
I'd prefer to have my usual mechanic fix the car as the dealership is horrendous. It was a phenomenally horrific buying experience. They lie constantly. I will never give them a penny of my money again if I can possibly help it. I'd appreciate any help or suggestions anyone here can provide. Thank you in advance!
