Found this sitting on top of the rear plastic underbody pan. I was checking if I had all the right tools to change my oil in the next couple days. I took the rear underbody pan down and found this lovely unknown broken part sitting on top of it. Anyone have an idea what it could be?
I plan to take this part to the dealer and ask tomorrow when I go to buy a filter. It should be interesting to see if they can Identify it.

That looks like a anti-chafe ring that goes around a rubber hose that could prevent the hose from being damaged from vibration against a metal or sharp part.

You are correct! I had to pull teeth at the dealer to get them to take a look but they confirmed that no rubber hoses were in danger. I will look again probably tomorrow when I change my oil. I will take both under-body panels down and do a good inspection.

Yes, it is good to identify mystery parts. That part while good to have on the proper place should not cause any major failures, but checking under the truck would be a good idea.Good luck finding where it came from. PEACE
