Hi, Had my v10 a couple of weeks 2006 model with 70k miles and full dealer service history.
I have a noise and a harshness felt through the steering wheel..not wheel balance type vibration...it is in the lower gears and worse in 3rd, also a whine during acceleration when cold, i checked the trans oil and it was clean and smelt like fresh fluid, has anyone any ideas what the noise could be?
I have searched and can find no reference to the noise i have it is like a dry bearing type of harshness but the transmission otherwise is perfect and changes smooth as silk, I originally thought it was something catching the steering column or rack and was catching as the engine moved under power and causing the vibes but it disappears when it changes up to 4th gear.
I have checked for codes with VCDS and nothing for transmission.
