Ah that's a bit remiss of them. I guess most owners would never know if they don't read the codes... The error doesn't seem to affect anything other than the owners with the knowledge it's there

 

The dealer should normally clear it post the upgrade...some do and some don't it seems

 

With the latest versions of sw including that of AAwireless android auto dongle now the split screen works well with the right settings

 

How to do that ? 🙏

I'll try a smaller micro SD card. I currently have P0523, loaded by me in Jan 22, which the dealer stated was the latest version 2022.1 (as at Sept 22). I tried to load the mid-year P0573 with the same results as this latest attempt. Maybe a smaller card will work.

 

The Volkswagen media systems can be temperamental at times when trying to introduce external storage devices with software updates.
Ideally a Class 10 SDHC card of 32 GB or 64 GB that is formatted exFAT or NTFS should be used.

Mirco SD cards and USB devices, where could work, do cause issues with some systems and are not recommended as suitable to load data from.

When downloading the mapping data you should use Windows operating system and be aware of the sleep mode setting on your computer. Using a third party file downloader helps in this aspect.
If you only have access to Apple then be aware Apple OS-X operating system has a tendency to create hidden additional files on external data media. It is therefore recommend that OS X users use the “Keka” unzipping program instead of 7zip. It is also recommend to use the “CleanMyDrive” program to remove any hidden files.

So haven't been able to discern what has changed, been upgraded...surely some new streets, etc but all else appears similar

 

Just trying to update to 0633 from 0603 (not sure if anything pertaining to Oz in the update but thought it would be good practice. Using the same SD card that was successful with 0603 (2022.3), I formatted the SD again and extracted the download onto the card. Plug it in the Infotainment slot - same one as last time-and turned the car on. The system found the SD, said there was an update available and then showed Software Updating, progress bar was at 0% and 2 hours later was still at 0%. If I go back through the menu and selected Software Update then same thing occurs. I have tried multiple times with the same result, never moves off 0%.
Has anyone else experienced the same thing on an update?

 

Hmm, definitely 0603 from march 22. The latest seems to be 0633, from Sept or Oct 22 I think.
