Updated the maps/software to the latest VW have on the website Default Title
As a result the traffic reports are back! I lost this in the last update. Great to see TMC working again, highlights all the reports, areas on the VC and main display.
Reports are of course through Suna and load up pretty quick.

The update took one full hour btw, so hook up a charger rather than generating emissions..

I successfully updated the maps on Saturday. It was very quick.

I don't now how to turn on the traffic function. I looked up SUMA but it did not give me any hints on how it works with VW or the Touareg. I wonder if it is not available in my model. I notice the TMC has a red line through it. I can get good/accurate traffic info through Car Play and Google Maps or Waze.

Can you screenshot the explorer view of the SD card contents, from root to what the folders have.

Calibration of lights during towbar install? I don't know that had to be done, but of course all the modules have to be coded properly, and this has been the disappointment for most owners

@evaddirb did you try updating the maps using a microSD with adapted? That may work

Firewalls in the cr prevent access to modules given the remote access features, so as brickwalls said bonnet has to be up, even with VW diagnosis.

Make sure radio settings are enabled in the menu. Try the other codes if 1024 doesn't work

@evaddirb it's probable lapse by the VW IT department....scope not clear, scenarios not captured properly, test scripts don't cover the scope or gaps in testing....all this to keep to minimum budget and turnaround..
😂

Try with bonnet up and micro SD if possible

For anyone with earlier version of the nav and unable to upgrade can you please post the details from the nav service menu...press and hold menu button for a few secs to enter the menu and post details of the versions of train, etc...

Hi all,
went to update map with the latest, wouldn`t work. Tried Vne`s suggestion to go in engineering ( service ) mode. saw update software icon, pressed it. and the screen locked up. Can`t go back, move anything on the screen. locked the car, left it for 2 hours. booted up into sevice mode with a locked (touch) screen. Either I have stuffed the nav software, or (hopefully) there is a magic button to press somewhere. any help appreciated

Why is it so touchy, makes no sense. Has anybody tried several times and suddenly its started, with the same card, which would suggest a touchy reader and or software. Or has it never started with a particular card, which would suggest a faulty card. I tried today with a micro sd card in an adaptor and then the same software in a usb stick (usb1) no joy with either????.o_O:cry::LOL::sick:

Its apparent that the version has something to do with, the latest versions, firmware has no problem and updates first time everytime

And then we have some owners of earlier models, versions who haven't had a problem at all. Quite strange indeed, nonetheless the experience could be better.

These days it's the electronics which more so cause issues for manufacturers and owners rather than mechanical problems...

Hi mate, fairly straightforward, once enabled(via vcds or obdeleven) you can see the reports inc relevant information ie accident, traffic speeds at the location, etc
Visually, it provides the roads in red where there is heavy traffic, accompanied by a triangle that illustrates type of incident etc
When you are in full map screen you can click on the TMC reports icon and it will bring up all the reports in the vicinity and update them as you go.
Hope this helps?

Thanks Singh and Vne. I must have missed it in the discussions. Looks like the first thing I need to do is to upgrade the software from the original, which the dealer wouldn't do because I had no issues flagged. Is Ross-tech still the best option for vcds, rather than OBD11?

Mine also has RW 2022.1 and PO 523. Also module 5F has a fault code that won't clear. There are some solutions to reset this fault online that involve the use of an XOR calculator to make changes in adaptions, I don't have the stones to try that yet. Cars in for a service next week, I will let the dealer deal with it.
Could someone with a launch edition that the update worked on post their 5F module details so I can compare please?
