Hi All,

I'm trying to ask a question about towing the other way around:

Has anybody ever tried to flat-tow a Touareg (behind a motorhome), and if so what do you have to do to make it happen, since it's a all-time all-wheel an' all.

Thomas

Touareg cannot be towed long distance. Maybe there is a modification for it.
I have been on this forum several years and have never anyoneseen that did this

Buy a trailer to put it on, then tow the trailer...remember that Treg + trailer will weigh around 8000#s (5500-ish for the Treg, 2500-ish for the trailer)...enjoy the uphills ;-)

I DO have a 24' race trailer that I currently put my Grand Cherokee in(among other toys). Trouble is, on short trips I just tow the Jeep behind the MH which I would like to do with the new vehicle as well. Oh well, I guess that's the small price to pay for owning a Touareg.

24'er is nice, but I was thinking a flatbed open trailer that would just fit the Treg...probably be easier to tow behind the RV and also keep things within reason for length. Not sure how long your RV is but say 40' + 24' on the trailer makes things a bit long...

I'd personally never tow 4 down...doubt anyone else here would.

Any way you do it you'd have a gorgeous setup, I'd love to RV somewhere then drive a Touareg around whenever I get to where I'm going!
