Etrailer.com has several options for VW Porsche Audi vehicles. Do you need a 7 to 7 or 7 to 4/5?

 

AndreB, I purchased a 7way to 5way & 4way trailer adapter for VW, Audi and Porche for towing trailers with LED lights from Etrailer.com Part TR201421 $13.99 US works great.

 

Hi thanks for the reference, I am after a round 13 pin down to a flat 7 pin with an interface which will rectify the LED light low voltage problem.

Unless that's in VND, that's a ripoff!!!! Adapters are available in NA for less than $30 USD.

 

I too tried a load box but still had issues.
With no load box:
1. Engine off and ignition off when trailer first connected
2. When trailer already connected turn lights off BEFORE starting the car

No issues since. Miss any of the above steps and get bulb out warnings - without load box and even with the load box on rare occasions.

 

Very strange. I converted my boat trailer to new LED submersible lights and have had no issues whatsoever. No need for any adapters. Maybe there is a problem with the lights on your trailer.

and then bought from harbor freight a 7 pin to 4 pin for my smaller trailer and both that and my enclosed car trailer work properly with no issue now

 

I picked up a 7-7 LED fix in the form of a pigtail like this

Bloody hell $239 ! man we get a right ole sodding down our end of the globe........ etrailer and tweetys sell some great stuff and prices too thanks for the tip might be able to jimmy something up to fit/convert to our NZ plugs !
