Hi I seem to be having Problems with my 05 Treg I have had a message come up on my Dash stating "Electrical Consumers Turned Off"
I have had the front battery tested and tatlly flat and Air Con and other accessoried have turned off.
I have seached other sites to see what the problem would be and one site suggested the OVP Relay may be gone or posibly the alternator. The thing is I can still start and run the car with no problems at this point
Can anyone enlighten me or give advise. To the point where is this ovp relay so I can check or replace.
I would be very apreciated if someone can help as I have only had the Treg for a couple of months and you know what it is like taking it to a dealer $$$$$$$$$$$$ PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN

If you search this site a bit you will likely find answers to your problem. Here's our experience with the same message you are getting:

http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f43/our-latest-excellent-vw-service-experience-20957.html

In the DIY there are V10 battery replacement posts

There is also an informational post about how the electrical system works.

With an 05 model, It's possible that your battery is at the end of life and just simply needs to be replaced. Because the V10 has two batteries, starting may not be affected yet.

This thread is about V10s. They have two batteries.

You appear to have a V8. That has one battery normally. If it is still the original battery, replace it.

Then, if you still have problems, start a new thread of your own.

We don't suffer fools here on CT ;)

We also try to discourage the asking of naive questions and the purchase of new, preowned or certified Touaregs of any vintage, engine type, or configuration until VW finally gets it right :)

And definitely don't go buying a touareg without heeding these warnings and come here seeking validation.

GOOD LUCK
This came up on my dash and started investigating into the Electronics I checked the batteries and replaced one of them But sill had the same notification on the dash after 2 days.
Well all I will say check out your chare rate on dash Amp Meter if this flutuates at all or is below 20 amps charge , you may be up for an Alternator. (?????) Cost me $3600
Do not let it go too long as it does shut down vehicle electronis one x one as a feature to get you home. once the engine management system shuts down (Not Good) GET IT CHECKED OUT NOW I limped around for several days by re charging the batteries rather than towing AGAIN GOOD LUCK
