If you have a timing belt these must be changed with ancillaries every 80,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first.

No history? Change the belt!

Hiya last owner had it in for a annual warrant of fitness we have here, and said to the garage about vibrations from front.
They confirmed front diff bearings on way out.
I
He couldn't afford repair so I bought it last weekend.
Dropped oil, Stripped it and found both bearings had fretted, lh one worse than other...attached photos

!

 

Welcome, It’s a good time to install locker if you want one…

as Tommi said its important to change your timing belt every 80k miles.

if you have valve cover leak it would be a good time to check the camshaft chain and tensioners too…

I'll get the tig moving then servicing can begin.
Just watched a video where the oil pressure dropped because of old bits of tensioner in oil pickup 🤣....nothing like having mechanical sympathy 🤔!

 

80,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first.

The belts are both time and mileage sensitive as people have discovered when valves hit pistons!
