When I was 16, I shared a '63 Plymouth Fury with my older sister! It was (mostly) blue, and had an automatic with push-button on the dash automatic.

Kid's are spoiled these days. Of course I just bought my 16 yr-old daughter a 2003 new Beetle, so I guess I'm contributing...

I am going to buy my Touareg in Lewisville, Texas. I know this is going to be the best car ever and I just can't wait to get it!!! :joy: And just to let yall know I am kinda spoiled but that doesn't mean I am a brat, I mean I am going to college next year!!! How many people can say my teenager is in college at 16!!! I make great grades I have a lot of friends and have two great families. (Parents are divorced) I am doing great and life couldn’t be better right now!!!

Im 16 and I have to wait till DEC 2005 till I my parents can even get one for themselves. I have been conjuring finance plans, savings plans and what options to get in my parents Touareg 6 months ago! But, anyway, congrats!

let see what happens if the taxes double's the price of the cars, like in europe. the kids overhere are proud of their motorbike's!

did some driving yesterday with the t-reg of the dealer over the boulevard, you have to see all those faces, most people don't see a car of 100.000 euro driving by each day...

 

your 100% right.... My R5 will cost me about 80000 euros.. here in Portugal, this is a really unusual car.. most car´s are maximum 45000, and that´s an expensive car.. a 100000 car, I won´t even talk about it.. Touareg, Phaentons, BMW´s 7 series, Audi A8, Cayennes.. all these are rare cars.. the Touareg a little less because it has "cheap" versions, like the R5 without any options, but the overall is that a car which is "cheap" in the US, is a very expensive car here..

 

All I have to say is, take care of the T-Reg, grovel at your parents' feet, and thank them profusely each day for allowing you to have such a wonderful vehicle. :joy:

Not much older than you, and I'll be into a purchase of a V6 T-Reg later this year (myself).

I don't think we should hate on kids who's parents buy them nice things. It doesn't mean their spoiled. It just means their parents make more money and an afford something nicer. Maybe I'm biased because when I was 16 my parents bought me a brand new BMW convertible. I'm now 24 and I bought the treg myself.

 

I know I am only 16 but I LOVE the Touareg and I can't wait until I get mine!!! :joy: (Which hopefully will be this Monday or Tuesday) The only other that I would rather have is the Porsche Cayenne and well lets face it, I don't think that is going to happen any time soon. On Wednesday of last week I drug my parents up to the dealer and we test drove two Touareg’s and finally found the one I want and my Dad is going to the bank Monday or Tuesday to get the cash and get it!!! I couldn’t be happier!!! It is a Shadow Blue, V6, with Air and Nav!!! If any has any input to what else to ask the dealer for or anything like that let me know. Once I get it I will post some pictures!!! \/

Ah, memories. When I was 16, I was driving a horrible orange 1979 4-cylinder Mustang.

Congratulations on the upcoming purchase of your Treg! Best of luck as you start college as well. Remember, beer AFTER homework. That was my downfall.
