It's starting get a bit brisk at night (lows in the mid to upper 40's) which means a cup of hot chocolate is often called for. I like marshmallows in my cocoa. I also like toasting some over the gas burner before i put them in my drink. And now the big question: do you prefer your marshmallows lightly toasted, dark brown and almost burnt but not quite, or light 'em up and let flames engulf them and get it black and crispy?

Dunno. Never tried them. Off to get a packet!

I don't like hot cocoa, but I do like marshmallows on the fire, to just eat, or for smores.

However, I do NOT want to eat a piece of charcoal! I prefer putting them in the fire, and rotating them constantly to get that nice even brown all the way around. That will also make a marshmallow that is warm and gooey in the center.

Lighting them on fire only gets the outside blackened and tasteless. The center will still be cold and firm...
