Hey everyone,

Been looking around for a thread that had this info and couldn't find anything, so I'm just casting a general question here - where does everyone with a T3 keep their leather manual pouch?

I used to have it in the glove box, but because of the sunglasses holder, the edges were starting to get folded up, so I didn't like that. I currently have it in the passenger door, but that doesn't seem like a very secure spot for it. The bins under each front seat are too small, and I don't want it in the back because I keep registration and insurance in the pouch, so it needs to remain up front.

With the DVD/SD/HD unit that folds down in the glove box (where I think older tregs had space for the manual), there's no defined spot for it any more.

Am I missing something? Some glorious location that was designed just to hold the manual?

The V8 T1/T2s had a pull-down shelf in the glove box. I miss it. I still keep my manual and registration/insurance in the glovebox. I use the dash cubby above the radio for my shades.

I'm glad you posted this observation. It's been bugging me, too! :) For such a big vehicle they sure did scrimp on the glove box. I have the same issue you do. I hate to see my nice manual and pouch get all bent up. But I'd like to keep it within reach.

Will be interesting to see what clever solutions are found.

My Audi has a slot under the steering wheel, above your knees, for the manual. I wish I could get one of those.

Good topic, definitely been irritating me as well.

Just yesterday I folded up the registration and stuck it in the net pocket under the dvd player, I also have an ipod nano connected and tucked in there.
I put the !@#$ manual in a plastic ziploc freezer bag and stuck it next to the spare tire... for now.
Now I can fit that emergency bottle of wine back in the glove as it's meant to be.
Also using it for disposable gloves as well.

I've actually been using the sunglasses holder for just over a week too. At first I was keeping them in the dash compartment, but realized keeping them in the glove box holder 100% solved the problem of blindly grabbing for them and getting an errant fingerprint on a lens.

Perhaps I'll do some more searching around for better spots tonight.

I use the sunglasses holder for certain pairs of sunglasses, so don't want to do anything rash and attempt to remove it. I also keep ipod + aux (2) adapters in the little netting when not in use. Only other thing in the glove box is the sirius radio guide card for guests of the treg to find channels.

I'm beginning to think the manual should go in the trunk in a plastic baggie and important paperwork can perhaps go in sunvisor, old school style. There is extra plastic up there that would be useful, just need ti figure out if it's secure enough to no come out in the wind :/

Besides the manual, where does one keep the emergency medical kit?

I keep my med kit on the shelf on the left side (looking forward from rear hatch) cubby, since I didn't really see anything else that would fit there. The Velcro holds just fine.

Actually, that is where I put mine kit as well. In the 04, it was located below the CD player inside the removable ight rear panel.

I did that for a while too, but it protruded into the interior a bit too much when hauling things so now it is in the spare tire area storage bin. Wish there was more of a purposeful place to put it.

After reading this thread I went out and fooled around looking for another good spot for the owners manual and am just perplexed! Gotta find a better place! If only the manual wasn't as thick as a phone book!

Would be nice to have a PDF version of the manual or even an app for the phone/tablet. My other ride is a Dodge Durango. Dodge has an app and my wife uses the app occasionally to figure out stuff.

Just FYI, the sunglasses holder pops out easily. It was the first mod I did! Now the manual doesn't get crushed. However if they continue with their supersizing the OM, I would suggest a small trailer to tow it in ;-) !
I keep my sunglasses up in the top dash cubby, much easier to get to.

I just slide my manual under the passenger seat, on the floor, so far it has stayed there all by itself.
If I need to I might use 2 small self-adhesive velcro patches to hold it firmly

I 'did' keep my manual under the passenger seat, however, after being involved in a 4 car pileup this morning, I realised, it won't stay there in an emergency braking situating. Not a problem with no one sitting there, but I reckon it would give my wife some curry hitting her in the back of the achilles... will be looking for somewhere else now.

Good point! Maybe not such a good location after all…
Just had a look at your accident - hope you and the Treg get over it quickly….

I don't know if the T3 is similar to the T2 in the makeup of the rear seat but in my 2008 (RHD) model, there is a cut away section in the styrene foam under the larger section of rear seat which is reached by lifting the seat part, (folds forward to the back of the front seat).
That's where my manual lives.

Don't think the seats on the T3 fold up like that...
I agree with this. Not sure if older tregs could do it, but T3 rear seats can adjust forward and back (on a track like non-power front seats usually are),so I think they removed the ability to slide the seats forward. Could be that once forward, there's space under the seats for the manual. Might do that as long as it can't slide forward to clip ankles of rear-seat guests.

Picture of Med kit storage location - I don't think it sticks out into the general cargo area too bad...
