Hi there, I have previously upgrade my 08 T2 with a genuine RNS2 DVD nav unit, wife wanted original after issues with aftermarket head unit in Merc ML.
All works fine and even the outdated maps are not a problem for her, now I've moved on to a reverse camera retrofit. I've picked up the module, 7L6907441C and wiring harness 7L6971148AE. I know I need the mounting bracket and vag codes but is there anything else I need?
I've had a look in the rear quarter compartment and cannot see any correct size plug for the module, also the rear door harness I purchased has the grey video plug next to the blue main connector but they mount in the rear roof section. I'm assuming there may be more wiring harness needed?
Is there any connections needed to plug into the head unit?
I'd appreciate any help or advice from anyone who has undertaken this retrofit.

My turn now

Commenced the retrofit process for my T2.

Today I installed the handle with camera attached. Connected the associated wiring loom to the handle leads and secured them in the tailgate area (Thanks Stuart for the blow-by-blow description on how to get the OEM handle out). Managed to pry it out/off by levering against from the outside, rather than forcing it thru from the inside. Secured the loom wiring and put the interior panel back on. Cool.

Checked the door lock operation and the window release....all works well. Except.

The driver's door remote boot release doesn't work. The tailgate door can be locked, unlocked and opened via the key and the door lock control on the driver's door, but the button to release the tailgate (next to the fuel filler flap release) is not activating the release mechanism. Is this a VCDS issue which will get resolved once I code the camera and the RVC controller unit in?
