Anyone with a petrol V6/V8 ready to do a brake servo vacuum pump test?
Here is what I did on two Tregs V6 3.2:
I disconnected the hose going from the brake booster to the intake manifold and plugged both sides.
I then did a test drive and on both Tregs there is almost no brake assistance.
This is the pump: 8E0927317E. Last version is the 8E0927317H.
Just started working on this so not yet sure how it should function.
Apparently the expected result of it being able to generate enough vacuum to assist braking without intake vacuum is not what I'm seeing here. Is the pump working? Is the relay working? Is there a leak in the brake booster hoses or check valves? These are the things I'm going to check. There is also the pressure sensor on the hose near the brake booster. Does it require a certain condition to come in play?
It's acting the same on both Tregs. So is it normal or are both Tregs sick
That's what I'm going to investigate.
If you have any experience with this please share.
