Suspension difference, Sport vs Lux/Exec?

I've got a 2012 TDI Sport, and the suspension is firm (my wife says "like a truck"). The steering is relatively responsive.

The other day I drove a 2014 (or was is 2015?) TDI Lux or Exec, and the suspension was noticeably softer, the steering seeming a bit slower, but the engine, as expected, was a bit peppier.

Is the suspension different in the new models - Sport vs Lux or Exec?

Thanks much for any info.

The TDI engine was changed in 2013. There are several springs that could be fitted:
PRCode: 1BA = Standard suspension/shock absorption
PRCode: 1BB = Suspension/shock absorption for rough road design
PRCode: 1BE = Sports suspension/shock absorption
PRCode: 1BW = Comfort suspension 2

I believe I called this out in an earlier thread or post. Search function is not working right now so I can't find it.

Bottom line is that using identical 18" tires the suspension and ride are definitely different in my FSI with 1BA then in my TDI Lux with 1BW.

Most of the time I would say that I like the feel of the 1BA suspension better.

Haven't really noticed a difference in the steering.
