Spacers for 19" wheels?

To get that nice wide looking chassi, but not with wheels that stick outside the arcs.... what size spacers should I get for stock 19" wheels?

Don't want it to affect the wear and tear of the tires too much either.

If you put something like 5 cm (2 inch) spacers that aught to change the angle of the tires to the road? But surely as you say, 10 mm shouldn't be of any concern.

Gotta go down to the dealership and check the gaps before hand and orders spacers in time for when my car arrives and ask them to mount the spacers free of charge. =)

Of course not! Don't think I am one of those that tries to pimp cars to the extreme. I rather buy cars that look great standard.

I will probably go for 10-15 mm. Don't want the wheels to be outside the wheel arcs. Seen some cars recently that have too large spacers and it just looks too weird when the wheels are too far out.

Btw, what's the bolt pattern / size on the touareg?

No Need 4 New Thread this one is fine.

I have never used spacers outside of my little Caddy.

Can Spacers allow me to switch wheels offsets? To Use lets say BMW wheels 5x120 instead of our 5x130?

I think this could work? Right?

I also would like to do 20" Wheels... since I bought some cheapies made in china... and I don't think I am that happy with them since I am use to RennWerx and BBS's... maybe I went too cheap too soon? :anger::twisted:

1BA$$T-Rex... No your opinion doesn't count... God Forbid I have a real question for the Real Forum...and you pipe in with something that doesn't sink.

Amazon.com: HR 40646717 TRAK Wheel Spacers: Automotive

Would these sort of work?
Yes...those would work. When I read your post I was on my phone at work. When you said spacers I was literally thinking a spacer. Not a H&R bolt pattern conversion. And if you found the link why would you ask the forum? I answered your questions straight forward with the time I had and you come at me with the D-Bag reply and PM. PLUS, wheel choice is matter of opinion. I like BBS's instead of Chinese knockoffs. Why all the hostility?

285/35/22 is much more appropriate (still ~.8" larger than stock, but will within the range of diameters that fit)...

285/45/22 should be ~32.1" tire, about .5" larger than the largest that reliably fit... 285/40/22 would work too...

Ideally, for snow, the narrowest tire works best though

Thanks for your help. No good winter/ off road tire is available in 285/35/22. I have the 19 inch atheos and have the same problem. Nothing good for off road/ winter driving. Looks like i need a 17 inch wheel. Didn't really know if spacers would work for the 285/45/22's to prevent inner sidewalk rubbing. If spacers would work (and not harm my trig) plus be worth the expense i would do it so i could keep the dm - v1 blizzaks. Confused to get spacers or return the tires and get good year duratracs in 17 inch.

This is not really a solution for you except to say that wheel adapters can work. I just had a set of custom precision machined hub centric billet aluminum adaptors made so that I can mount my aftermarket 19-inch Diablo wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires from my Range Rover Sport with 5x120mm bolt pattern to the 5x130mm bolt pattern for my Treg I just purchased. I have been offroading (both dune running and forest trailing) with this setup and the 19-inch wheels with the Scorpions did fine as well as perform great at high speeds. The custom adaptor set cost me $365 from wheeladapters.com which is steal considering my wheel/tire combo cost me $2800. I got to talk directly with Fred Goeske (he actually phoned me personally after I emailed him some questions); he's a hoot to talk with (and can be a bit gruff but in a good way) but knows his stuff. UPS just delivered my adapters today and they are very high quailty; USA-made ALCOA 6061-T6 billet aluminum ...can't wait to get them on the Treg. They are 1.25 inches wide, so also ordered me a set of flares. I wanted the wide aggressive look but keep it "stock" like by having them match up with the flares.
