After seven hours of working on the install job for the wife's Sirius I was done and it looks great. Thanks to all those who dropped hints on how to do it. I'm going to post a few pics to show how I finally completed the project. Found a good link that showed me how to take the stereo out and all the dash pieces.

First took out the dash and marked all the wires.

After that I got the Blitzsafe device stuffed where I wanted it

Here is more of the install. After getting the dash ready for most of the parts need to run wires. Antenna went from back top front under the chrome plate in the rear and pulled up the tie downs on passenger side. I use a piece of flexible copper tubing to snake the antenna wire under the rear seats and up to the center consul. From there removed the panel under the rear of the center consul and just put the wire along the passenger side of the center consul hidden along the edge. Got all the wires together and started the reinstall of the dash. Last pic.

Got power off the radio for the two powers I needed. One for the Sirius and the other for our nav. Wanted to make it look clean so I put the 12v charger in the glove box. I put them in front the AC vent so they would keep cool. Drilled two 1/2" holes and put my cig lighter in there. Ran my wires from the glove box to radio location and squared them away for install. Then cleaned up the wires in the glove box. Once that was done next step....;)

At this point got all things together and build the command module...or that is what I'm calling it. Made a mount out of 1/8" L bar steel and drilled it, primed it, painted it and baked the paint. Then went on to drill a hole in the back of the dash holder, not sure what it's called, and mount everything. Once tested for since of the hole put dash back together, plus hooked up Sirius docking station.

Wow! A lot of hard work on that install, with fabbing up the mount and wiring and all. Looks pretty darn good though, the results were worth the time.

The only things to watch are heat and theft. Having them up high increases visibility for you, the bad never-do-wells, and the sun's heat. I'd be sure to shield them from view and, probably more importantly, the sun's head with a windshield sunshade. Electronics don't like heat, and if you park heading towards the sun the heat may damage your electronics. I had an electronic device with an LCD display up in the tray on a hot summer day, and the screen's contrast was jacked up after 30 minutes of basking in the sun. Putting it into the air-conditioned glovebox did bring it back to normal after about 15-20 minutes, but it could have been worse (and expensive!)

Very nice job though! Well done!

With the blitz safe device the only problem we have is the auto ramping of the volume. If your accelerating hard it tends to jump in volume verse ramp up. Other wise sounds amazing. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner
