My Treg 2005 rear door ashtray is broken and needs replacement - anybody that can guide me through the steps?

Do I have to remove the door panel to do this? How do I do this then?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Our rear passenger door ash tray broke sometime, before we bought it, but we didn't notice it until later. Don't know how to replace it, but it cost us $130 approximately to get it replaced at the dealer. Hi Njird

The actual hinge and spring mechanism is broken or not working 100%. I want to take out the unit and see if I can find the issue ... I could remove the cover plate as well as the locking slider and spring.

Any ideas, or do I remove the door panel?
