Hi All,

I noticed that when I stop at a certain red light at an intersection my parking sensors always go to the 2 red lights at the end. There is nothing near me it just always goes off. I noticed this at one other intersection too. Any idea what it could be? As soon as I turn/drive away they go right back to normal.

hi there. it can be the ice, snow or dirt. few weeks back it was few snow in my country, so clean layer of ice was on one of the parking sensors so it was making strange noise and red light same as on the picture, so it could be it

Don't think so. It's always at the exact same red light. Even when there was no snow and my car was clean.

There must be something being emitted/radiated at that intersection that makes the sensors activate. The fact that it happens at that place (same lane?) and no other (does it depend on the time of day or light/dark?) and is consistently there doesn't leave many other choices.

That's what I thought too but I cold never figure out how that was possible. Never saw it before.

Ultrasonic sensor being used to detect cars at that traffic light.

A local business has one on their gate. I can win bets by saying "I can move an inch at a time and tell you just before the gate will open." When I see the parking sensors go red, I quickly say "Now" just before the gate opens. lol.

I seem to have this problem when i wash my car or after a heavy rain. Water seeks little ways to get to the loom or even the sensor itself and goes temporarily faulty witch results in those red lines showing up. After they dry out, everything goes back to normal.
Mind that if water seeks in and then freezes, the same thing will happen.

On a side note, i discovered that they do the same if there is heavy fog or sprayed water.

Mine does this as well, i am pretty sure its only lights that have magnets under the road to trip the light vs the time lights. i also will have it were the fronts will randomly beep though our Nissan armada will do this too at the same intersections as the treg.
