Hello everyone. A while back, I remember reading about a towing solution which was actually a trailer itself with a single axle but would have another hitch on it to carry the brunt of the trailer load. Its like a really small trailer that hooks to your main vehicle but links to your main trailer. I have been searching online for it but just cannot come up with the right words to find it. Does anyone here know what I am talking about?

TIA.

Tandom? You have to watch for it may not be legal in to do in some states. I saw it a lot in UT with travel trailers with a boat or PWC trailer attatched to it. I also watched those type of guys sitting along the road with over heating issues too. Is this what you are referring to?

Dunno what Tandom is, I know Tandem is a type of Axle setup, but that's not what I was talking about.

I would have to try it out but that thing looks like a big PITA lol
If you are referring to the safety hitch system, I don't see how its a PITA really. It seems like it makes your job of towing a whole lot easier. Not to mention, Taking excessive load off your Towing vehicle. I am however very interested in the non-gooseneck/5th Wheel version. That's the one I remember seeing and it was a lot smaller than this one.

I have seen setups like this called Trailer Toad. Looks very interesting.

I was just thinking about how to back up with it but after I watched the video I can see it it appears to need just a bit extra effort and some time getting used to.
