You're not the only person to ever tune a car. You do the leg work before you start including the flashing. You don't need to be connected to Internet once the handheld has the data uploaded to it.
Be informed, here some leg work for you, YOU NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO WIFI WITH THE CAR TO READ YOUR ÉCU,

@NicoDeRossi , now that the tune is done, how do you like the way it drives compared to before doing it?

While on this wild ride thread, any wisdom on getting 17MM EGT sensor off? Mine is just wanting to round using wrench or crows foot.

I ended up ordering:

CTA Tools 2067 17mm Oxygen Sensor Socket Amazon.com

... but now I have to wait. Sucks when nobody local has something like this.

Wondering if some heat might also be necessary. So far PB Blaster hasn't helped.

Thank you, I was simply asking as usually someone on these forums might have done it and can relate the experience, I did email them, they don’t have a number to call for technical help, takes 24 hours for a reply, they said you need the car hooked up to read the ECU, while on wifi, so anyways at the end , I used the hotspot ,and tuned it, it’s done, also, I ended up getting my other car to use jumper cables, because I didn’t want to mess with pulling radiator fuse, thank you for all the info you provided,
Sounds like you got it done ... but the process depends on which obd2 unit you have. I can only speak to the TuneZilla Pro box. It's the little dongle type unit that connects to PC with a USB cable. You have to be online the whole time with that one. The PC app is talking to their servers and your vehicle in real time.

Take a socket, cut it, and make your own "special" tool

In addition to the right "special" tool I ordered, I also ordered this one:

17mm 1/2" Drive Lug Nut Remover for Damaged, Rusted, Nuts & Screws, Twist Socket, 1 Piece Amazon.com

... and was planning on using plasma cutter to notch side out and butcher a crows foot and weld that to the side of it to make a "special, special" tool if the "special" won't work.

That looks good! Well done.

Since the crows foot rounded it some, my fear is the "proper" tool I ordered isn't going to work either (but hoping it does) so if you look at the "socket" I ordered to modify as a contingency, you'll see its an EZ Out type socket.

That CTA socket you ordered is a good one. That is the one I have and have used a bunch. Metal is very rigid and won't flex/spread like cutting a wrench or socket can do on stubborn sensors. And 6 point is less likely to round than a 12 point.

It just came. It's heavy/beefy

I’ll explain it to you , I installed the delete pipes and the cat , connected it all , BUT the truck is a block away (I am in NYC ) from my WI-FI, I need WI-FI , to download the tunes into the tunezilla pro and then upload it into the truck, as far as I was told by tunezilla it cannot be done without WiFi , so I was asking C-Ya since he did the delete, if I am able to start and drive the truck around the block to where my WiFi is, would this cause either damage or put the truck in limp mode ? Then if it goes to limp mode , does that mean I’m screwed ? I don’t know what exactly you were unclear about (I’m genuinely asking ) basically can I drive the F…ing truck around the block after I cut everything out of it before I tune it ? It’s that simple of a question
just read the Flashzilla instructions & you can download and install offline - "
  • The TuneZilla Portal App supports offline flashing for tunes that are already downloaded to your tune library.

Yep. You can. Ah well, we tried.
