Hello there
Can you give me some suggestions
I usually drive about 100km from the highway to the urban area from Monday to Friday at work, and go camping and taking pictures on holidays. Recently, I would like to change to AT tires and give me a suggestion.
2012 touareg 3.0Tdi
Currently on the car 255/55/18

1. Change to SCORPION™ ALL TERRAIN PLUS 255/60/18

2. Buy a set of used 17 wheels and install SCORPION™ ALL TERRAIN PLUS 235/65/17

3.continental CrossContact™ AX6 255/55/18

Just bought (4) 265 65 17R Falken Wild Peaks and they are amazing so far. I might go a bit bigger (265 70 17R) to get more rubber for the trails.

Recently drove nearly 2,000 miles from New Jersey to Colorado and it was quiet and comfortable. When you take them on the trail and air down you can conquer anything that comes your way.

Not to mention its a better warranty then the Ko2s (55,000 mile) and a better price point. Also they come in 10 ply!!!!

hi
This looks very good, how is this fuel consumption?

I think it's also important to ask if the original poster intends to take said tires in to ski country at all because that could drastically change things

The problem is Touaregs have very specific, hard to find tire sizes. If you wanted to go taller and skinnier or shorter and wider etc you'd open up to a much larger range of tires available.

Hi Eric

✔ SCORPION™ ALL TERRAIN PLUS 235/65/17

I took this route on my 2014 7p, replaced the 21s that were on the car with a set of second hand stock 17s and put the Perrelli Scorpions on. They are great off road on dirt and in sand and moderate mud. They've become a bit noisier on blacktop now they about 15ks on them. I tow a caravan as well and they show little sign of wear differences front to rear and handle the load no problem at factory recommended pressures. If you can put up with a bit of hum around town, these won't let you down off the highway.
