Does anyone know if these can be ordered seperatly, and if so from where? They seem to be of poor design and I need to get a replacement one. These are the ones used for volume, selection, etc.
It would have to go back to Blaupunkt to fix it. There are usually replacement nav units on eBay for sale.jj968c said:I have a similar problem. The menu dial on my nav unit is pushed in. I dont know if it can be fixed. I took it to a repair shop and they said they cant do it, because the factory hasnt put out any diagrams to show how. If I open the unit up, can I fix it? Anyone know? Should I even try to open the unit, or will I make it even worse by opening it? Anyone know where to get a cheap new navi unit? Also if bring it to the dealer, can they fix it even if it isnt the radio that came with the truck? thanks.
Did you buy this nav radio off eBay, claimed to be new or in perfect condition? If this is the case, I would suspect that it didn't break off in shipping but rather it was already broken and the guy just shipped it to you so he could file a claim or get rid of the problem.jj968c said:Thanks spockcat for your reply. The knob broke during shipping. I took out my radio and installed the nav unit to make sure it powers up and the knob was the only problem. The unit powered up fine. I then went to put my stock radio back in and that is when I have the problem of the hood indicator light coming on.
I fixed the indicator problem. The light came on when I was pushing the radio into the dash when there was about 1 inch left to go. I just kept going to see what would happen...when the unit clicked into place, the light went off. I was very happy...I still have no idea why the light comes on. thanks
As said above, the dealer can't fix it. They have to return it to Bosch/Blaupunkt.matj said:My right knob collapsed on my Nav unit while I was installing my Ice Link Plus. I am taking it to my dealer next week. Hopefully they can fix it.
