OK here goes. It's a Porsche Cayenne Turbo with Pano roof.

I left the car for two weeks then came to open the Pano roof, it started to open then it made a clunk - it looked like the first portion of glass above the driver / passenger seal had stuck to one side, then it tried to open but twisted.

It stopped.

It had worked perfectly up until now. Then I did an emergency close, the blind first closed then the reset of the roof.......Good. The roof looked like it was fully closed.

I then tried to open it and it wouldn't, it tried then backed off. I then took the front and centre sections of glass off their brackets and gave it a good clean up and lube, I lubed the runners and seals. I refitted the glass panels and now it appears to work ok. The front and back panels operate, but when I move the switch to the fully close position the centre panel of glass closes then drops approx 10mm.

I have tried to reset the system, by ign on, rotary switch in the Closed roof position, press and hold <40secs - the whole roof shuts as it should - BUT ! when I release the Emergency button the centre glass pane drops 10mm.

Any ideas ?

That happens when you hit a bad pot hole or something like that. One of my past cars had that. The wires get twisted up in the roof. I wouldn’t keep opening it if I were you. You don’t want that to shatter on yourself.

Maybe someone on 6speed or Rennlist would know better. The Cayenne sections are very helpful. Got a lot of tricks from them with my Cayenne

The Touareg pano roof is different, so you likely won't get much help here. It's only 2 sections. The rear is fixed and the front tilts then slides.
