I have a 2004 v8 with paddle shifters. If I try to leave it in one gear it stays in for 30 seconds or so then reverts to automatic. Not over revving it but just goes back when it feels like it. Anyone else?

If you are trying to keep it in one gear for downhill hold for instance, if I remember correctly as it's been a while, you need to select the required gear via the shifter and via not the paddles.
I had the same issue but in low range on really steep descents offroad and using the shifter held the gear.

You put the shift leaver in manual position and shift with the paddles. It says it in that thing called an owners manual. If yours was lost they are on-line also. But I understand, it's easier to have others do the work for you.
