It's a very simple DIY. The 3.6 is a great engine to work on, especially in the Touareg where there's plenty of room. The gasket set is around $50. There are many Youtube videos on how to remove the intake manifold and valve cover on a 3.6, but here's how I did it when I was replacing the PCV valve membrane, which is under the valve cover.
I did 8ndeed see the vids on you tube. And the hardest part was getting thr manifold disconnected...and then reconnected...I'll give it a shot. Thanks sor replying
