Just saw this on Rawtek’s website.

Even using a VPN for a halfway around the world IP the site shows the same so I doubt it's a regional thing.
Either they got shut down or they're restructuring.

I’m more concerned about “who” complained, to what regulating entity, and how far their reach is.

Welding and machine work - no problem. Bending 3” SS pipe - not me. Plus, don’t have the time nor patience to get someone to “reinvent that wheel.”

Nobody (not these small outfits) bends anything themselves.
Everyone starts with off the shelf mandrel J or U bends, or whatever, cuts them down and welds them up.
A CNC mandrel bender that can handle 3" SS pipe is NOT cheap... .... unless you're doing massive production, you can't justify that kind of investment.

Well you can thank all of the morons on the forum constantly talking about these types of places and blowing black smoke all over the place for this kind of crap

It's not just that some were "Rolling Coal", it's that they were doing it to unsuspecting people walking down streets/driving EV's/smaller cars with windows open and posting it to social media sites for views as a prank.
Destroyed it for those that just wanted their vehicles to run better without all the restrictions.

Exactly. Diesels have in many ways become what Honda civics were in the early 2000s when fast and the furious came out

None of those alter the emissions the engine outputs and what the emissions system can clean

I agree there's a lot of modifications that can alter the efficiency of a vehicle but I don't think that's what they're referring to in the article.

Any modification that would change the result versus the original emissions testing certification is potentially illegal. That is exactly what VW got pinged for in dieselgate. That opens up a whole new ball park of potentially illlegal changes. Europe already has much stricter rules around allowable mods. However what is practical to enforce at a state level in the US is another matter. Without some form of mandatory testing and inspection its hard to enforce anything at an individiual level

Every state is different but around here, when a vehicle reaches a certain age, its emissions are exempt.

But, this is just another example of the "Three Felonies a Day" (it's a book, look it up) issue. Things are written such that it doesn't matter what you do, if it's decided you're a target, they will get you on "something". Just ask a certain Presidential candidate 🤣

... and some selfie taking Grandmother's that were at the wrong place at the wrong time ha, ha.

If you read the article they say the agency will change the wording to fit their need. Who knows what they'll classify in that category.
