The only time my indicator noise stopped working was when the battery was low voltage because of a malfunctioning manifold air intake shutter motor. Did the dealer check your main battery voltage and run the Touareg for error codes? How old is your main battery? Also some would consider the lack of bong and beeps as a blessing ; )

 

Funny you should talk about the battery, it's from new and it dies in cold weather, I will replace both battery’s and see what happens and the lack of bong, beeps is a blessing but a problem is a problem. Thanks.

 

If your sound is dead (and its not a battery problem) it is controlled by the guages, meaning that a new panel is the only way to fix it.

nickm is correct on the matter. The whole inst. panel requires to be replaced. Have replaced approx 6 of them for this matter.

 

i had the same problem and just had a new one put in under warranty..

mine in a 2006 V6 w/36K miles..unbelievable..

The same thing is happening to me now (2005 V8). The dashboard was always screaming at me for something, which was annoying... but I do miss the reminder when I need to get gas, when the parking light is on, etc. I don't believe it's a battery issue... did you replace your dashboard? Also, do you remember how much it cost if you did replace it? Thanks in advance.
