Is your 05 an early one with CD navigation, or a late 05 with the DVD based Nav?

 

I'm not really sure on how to tell the difference... I have nav and a cd changer in the back. My mods have been postponed cause of an ankle injury skiing. But I got some stuff already waiting to go on... Vinyl wrap (matte dark grey).... Repo men luggage rack extended... And ECS front and rear bumper protectors. Come spring I should be set up.

I always liked the matte dark grey or matte charcoal look on the Touareg.

 

So finally it has warmed up in north jersey enough for me to begin my wrap! It's coming along well. Learning as I go.

To darken up the tail lights you'll want to get Touareg 2 tail lights or R50 tail lights as they're a bit darker stock and I think it will compliment the matte grey better than the lighter ones:

Thanx josh... That's the plan.. I'm gunna also do a light tint to the head lights as well. Ordering my Victor equipment zehns satin black Mon. 20x10. Anyone have them on there ride?

Boss, why don't you just paint your tail lights instead of buying new ones? There are a lot DIY videos on how to darken the tail lights..

Oh, and did you consider to get the whole R50 body kit?

 

Comparing the price of them R50 tails to the $10 spray can very likely the way to go @touareg. Lol. But that R50 KIT is way out of my spending comfort zone.. lol. I found some bumper extension that will add abut to the look.

 

Got sick last week so the wrap was at a Stand still. But we up to the front fender now... And look what just came in... Rubber should be in on Sat. Right on time to finish the rest of the wrap.

Is it my imagination, but does the wrapping result in a matte finish, or is that a matter of choice?

It's a matte dark grey finish... I figured break away from the matte black that is VERY popular.

 

Yep, I see matte black and matte white quite a bit. Not the grey so much, unless it's a primered rat-rod or a beater. Looks really good. You should have done red wheels and some white wall tires to really make it ratty! :-0

 

Saw this matte white job the other night. California plates lead me to believe this person doesn't know how hard it will be to keep it clean in Colorado. Hopefully just visiting to show off to their friends how coooooool they are. ?

 

That white looked good from the front.... The rear looks like a dirty whitie tightie.. lol. Thanx for the pic... I was thinking white on the next car. Not anymore.! I think the dirt will make the grey look even better! Thanx to the nitro terra grapplers.

Custom basket coming along... Replacing the stock cross bars cause it makes the basket look like the freedom tower.! Not the look I was aiming for.

 

I'm going to keep up with this one! I really like how this is going.
