Hey all! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Golden CO, and just picked up a 2008 Touareg! I'm pretty excited as I absolutely love it, and can't wait to start spending some time in the community.

Right now it's completely stock, and I can't decide if I'm going to use it for offroading or not, so I'm holding off on the mods right now.

Unfortunately it's your basic steel suspension V6. As much as I would've loved to get a V10 TDI, they're pretty pricey for a college student :grin2:
That's OK! The VR6's are said to do very nicely, too! And trust me, the oil change is much cheaper on a VR6 vs. the V8!!!

I decided not to look for a V10 because I don't plan on towing anything huge.

Welcome to all the new Colorado Treggers! They're great vehicles for our mountains here. My steel-sprung 2010 TDI has been good to me pretty much everywhere I need to go, with the only "modification" being slightly taller tires than stock, and AT construction. North Fork Geneva Lakes Trailhead over the top from Marble? No problem. Yankee Boy Basin? Piece of cake. Screaming down gravel tracks in the Four Corners? Like butta.

Enjoy it!
